Model, batch or single item?

How detailed your passport needs to be – and how to cover serial numbers without extra work.

A model passport applies to all units of a product. For most products that is enough. If information changes from one production run to the next (e.g. recycled content), create a batch passport. Single-item passports are meant for products with individual values, such as the health status of a battery.

Derive instead of creating from scratch

In the passport under “…” → “Derive passport for batch/serial number” you take over all information and change only what differs.

Serial numbers without separate passports

With a GTIN you can print the serial number directly into the QR code: …/01/{GTIN}/21/{serial number}. If there is no separate passport for that number, DPP Creator shows the model or batch passport and the scanned serial number.
